The Moon jellyfish, also called Aurelia Aurita, belongs to the Scyphozoa. It consists of 99% of water. It is the most common and most familiar jellyfish type in the world which you can find in almost every ocean such as the german North Sea coast and in the west of the Baltic sea. It’s flat and concave bell can be up to 30 cm big. Under the bell you can find 4 horseshoe-shaped sexual organs (gonads) and hanging arms. They swim with pulsating moves contracting the bell. But often they just float with the current.
